Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have just saved the rebel state from destruction by the mighty forces of King Galbatorix, cruel ruler of the Empire. Now Eragon must travel to Ellesméra, land of the elves, for further training in magic and swordsmanship, the vital skills of the Dragon Rider. It is the journey of a lifetime, filled with awe-inspiring new places and people, each day a fresh adventure. This is a sequel to the book Eragon, if you would like to read the review, here is your link http://larawhitfield.co.uk/?p=184…..

On the whole, I really enjoyed this book, however, it was very, very long-winded. If anything, it was too descriptive of everything. For instance, Eragon is travelling and it takes about 3 chapters for him to get to where he needs to be. Anyway, aside from the negativity, the books are always worth reading because the endings are amazing, but don’t be that person who skips pages or chapters in books, because you never know, you may miss something important. As I was saying, there is a twist at the end that I was kind of expecting but it still surprised me. I liked this one more than the first in some ways as you got to know a lot more about Roran, Eragon’s cousin (or ‘brother’) which I was happy about. I am still unsure whether to read the other 2 books as this one took so long to read and the size of the last 2 books is a little scary. I give this book 7 out of 10 stars recommend to both genders. Please tell me if you have read the last 2 and whether they are worth the read.
