New Moon (Twilight Series #2) by Veronica Roth

new-moonBlurb: I stuck my finger under the edge of the paper and jerked it under the tape. ‘Shoot,’ I muttered when the paper sliced my finger. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. ‘No!’ Edward roared … Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm – and into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of an evil vampire but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realise their troubles may just be beginning …

I enjoyed the first one, but this one was a bit disappointing. I found this book a bit girly and silly. Edward leaves Bella and then she suddenly becomes obsessed with Jacob and it got a bit annoying. However, saying that there were some good bits to it, for instance the ending and right at the beginning, but the middle was very under-whelming. I did like that there were loads of new characters (vampires) introduced into this book and Jake’s secret was pretty cool though it was kind of obvious what it was and it took Bella absolutely ages to guess which annoyed me. I will read the rest of the series even though I was disappointed by this book as I was told that the last book (Breaking Dawn) is the best, so we shall see. I give this book a 6 out of 10 and aim it more at girls than boys, but by all means give it a read.

This book is gory, terrifying and sexy in some parts of the novel. This book is an old classic, published in 1887 which makes older than any of the other books that I have posted or talked about on this website. This is the scariest book I have ever read and one of the best. Aimed at both genders and I give it 10 out of 10 stars. Please tell your parents you are reading this because it is a scary novel, also I would suggest that you are a confident reader to read this book as some of the words and language they use is hard to understand in some places. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did, please tell me if you loved it or hated. This book will completely change your perspective of Vampires as Bram Stoker was the man who invented the vampires and the thing about garlic, teaks, crucifixes, etc.
